Sorry it has been so long since my last update, I had to ask the government to check over my journal and see what could be revealed. (Occasionally you might see something that doesn't make sense, that is because the data is classified.)

This morning after breakfast Sgt. Cohen said he had something to show me. When I got up to the window room I saw that the sky was poop brown, and no matter how many times you read that when there is a fire there is a majestic shade of orange they are wrong. When I looked up into the sky, it looked like poop, just poop. Then we heard the moaning. Ari told me to hand him his binoculars, when I did, he took one look and then ran downstairs. We spent the next three hours gathering supplies and fortifying the bunker.

Day 6
We went out on patrol to find the lost team. On our way out we saw one of the guys without his pack, just his rifle. We grabbed him up and checked for bites he was clear.
"Our truck reached the target location, we checked all of the houses and nothing, I was the last one who wasn't in the truck when, a tidal wave of the undead attacked the truck, not even the armor plating could stop 'em. They have to have been killed."
Lt. Risner said, "We need all of the men we can get, we have to make sure there is no chance to get them back alive. Fielding take Hartstock back to base and get him a hot meal."
I did as ordered. The patrol came back with one other man, Sgt. Baker, who got out by the back of the truck.

Day 5
We found six people today.
I was standing by the door when a soldier, Sgt. Cohen, came by and told me to gather my gear and get ready to go. They had received two 911 calls and were spread thin so they needed my help.
After 5 minutes of driving at 30 mph we made it to where the call was from. We saw 200 shambling figures coming down the hills. I was put on recovery team were I went door to door asking for people. The other half of the group fired at the figures. Our team found six survivors. No word from the other team, and it has been four hours since we got back

Day 4
I saw some people shambling up the street. I called 911 quickly and within 5 minutes a truck full of Special Forces troops. I had expected just a couple of guys in Hazmat suits to get the people in a truck. What really hit me was when they got out of the truck they immediatly opened fire and shot at the heads of each person. A soldier missed the head and hit the chest. I thought that that person would get knocked down, but the man kept coming not paying attention at all to the hole in his chest.
Immediatly the soldier adjusted his fire and shot the head. The soldiers all split up and went to different houses and knocked on the doors. One of the first doors they came to was mine. I opened the door and they said, "Come with us. If you have any weapons or ammo get them now." I turned around, got this journal, M1, holster, pistol, 12 Gauge, all my ammunition, and I ran back to the door. The soldier helped me into the truck and went off.
As I am writing this I am sitting in the military bunker in which I was taken. I was given the job as door guard and given all the ammo for my weapons that they had.
After six hours I was releived and given food, alot of food.

Day 3
Turned on the TV only to find static, every channel. I finally found a channel with something on it. There was a man saying something about buying all the weapons you can and a lot of ammo. I thought that this could finally be my excuse to buy that M1 carbine I had been eyeing for months. I also needed some ammo for my Colt .45 and 12 gauge.
When I finally got to the store it was out of 9mm pistols, but they had M1s there. I bought an M1, 1000 rounds, 300 12 gauge rounds, and 300 rounds for my Colt. I also bought a laser scope for the Colt.

Day 2
I was watching TV today when it was interrupted by a message from the President. He basically said that if we saw anyone acting strangely, moaning, and attempting to bite you then call 911 immediately. I switched the channel but it was on everywhere.
Day 1
I decided to keep a journal so Mom will stop nagging about it.
Nothing much happened today. I just sat around and watched Star Trek Voyager.
